Everyone seems to be jumping on the internet marketing bandwagon lately. In the race to get their business online, many successful businesses forget to ask themselves some tough questions about what they are doing, what their expectations are and what their plan is to meet those expectations.

The internet can be a powerful tool that can put you on solid footing with bigger companies. On the other hand, the other companies may have more money to pay for advertising. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind as you analyze your internet marketing strategy.

Advantage of Internet Marketing

- your store is open, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Further, your customers are worldwide in reach, and can shop anytime that they want to

- the cost of spreading your message is next to nothing. Emailing your subscription base is more oftne cheaper than sending a letter through the mail

- updating your subscribers can be done almost instantly through email. Visitors to your website can get up to the minute information on each visit. If you are having a sale, your customers can start shopping at the discounted prices literally as soon as they open their email

- if you have an information sensitive business, such as a law firm, newspaper or online magazine, you can deliver your products directly to your customers without having to use a courier

Disadvantages of Internet Marketing

- online marketing is not free. The cost of software, hardware, wed site design, maintenance of your site, online distribution costs and of course, time, all must be factored into the cost of providing your service or product.

- slightly over 50% of households shop online. While that number will continue to grow, you are reaching less than two out of three households.

- the internet is still regarded as a source of information gathering for the majority of your customers. Of the number of visitors to your site, the vast majority of visitors who are motivated to buy will do so in person. Many people prefer the live interaction when they buy. If you have a small business with one location, this may deter customers from buying.

- easier to have outdated information on your site, thus timing of updates is critical

- there is no replacement for good old fashioned customer service. The majority of internet marketers lack customer service and inquiry response programs. As a result, many online visitors to your site will already have painted your site as poor service before they have even contacted you. The majority of websites also have poor navigation, which makes it difficult for your visitor to find what they are looking for. Many sites were created with a marketing view, not a customer service point of view.

- is your site secure? Does your customer know this? There are many incorrect stereotypes about the security of the internet out there. As a result, many of your visitors will not want to use their credit card to make a purchase. The fear of having their credit card info stolen is a clear and present danger in the minds of your visitors

- there is a lot of competition for your product already out there. By the time your visitor finds you, they have already been clicking many links. Unless they can find what they are looking for quickly, they are gone.

- many web visitors expect something for free. What do you have to offer them?

There are many other pros and cons of internet marketing. Its important for you to consider each when creating your internet marketing strategy. Each of the disadvantages can be overcome, but only if you view the customer experience from the eyes of your customer, not as an internet marketer.

Niche marketers should price their products and services based on the value received by the customer: it is the customer’s perception of value that counts. If you calculate price based on cost and/or the competition, you are not in a niche market or you are pricing incorrectly.

Niche market customers buy your product or service because it is different from the other options available. That difference is your value and it can be worth a premium price. Value is subjective and not every customer will need your product’s unique benefits, but this is how niche marketing works. As a niche marketer, you focus on serving a market segment that has been overlooked or underserved; the value or difference you add is your special knowledge of their unique needs.

The value can come in the form of unique product or service features that you add. That value could come in many forms, even prestige. For example, Tiffany’s is a “prestige” brand for jewelry; people buy jewelry at Tiffany’s because of the brand. Yet, diamonds are diamonds. You can buy the same quality diamonds at Costco, but you don’t get the prestige buying experience. For the Tiffany’s customer, it is worth the price premium to walk out the store with the Tiffany’s bag or box.

Value based pricing is determined as the highest amount that a customer will pay for your product or service given the unique value that you offer when compared to the other alternatives. By giving the niche customer exactly what they want, there are no other real alternatives. If that is the case, price it accordingly.

In the recent past, internet marketing mix involved more of placing a banner or simple ad strategically on a web page. But presently, internet marketing has evolved to larger varieties and more sophisticated techniques which you can use to grow your online business and get more profits. In recent time, any marketing plan that is geared towards substantial success must incorporate online marketing strategy.

What is the objective of internet marketing mix or strategies?

There are so many reasons for employing online marketing strategies for your business. The main objective is to get your product across to potential buyers, and also to retain existing customers. Internet marketing is your best means of clearly informing the public or your target audience about the products and services you have to offer. Online marketing strategies are also means through which a business owner can carry out research on how to manage and assess their customers’ need - both present and potential customers. The bottom line of it all is that you will generally increase profits from your business using internet marketing.

Internet Marketing Mix or Components

I am sure that you have already found out, as most people, that there are many strategies on the Internet for making you financially successful. The problem, though, is that the majority of these programs are scams that never worked for the person selling the program and will probably never work for you either.

Besides being a waste of your time and effort, some of these programs can cost thousands of dollars for information freely available in the search engines.

It is a shame that you have to navigate these scams as I believe that doing Internet marketing should be an easy endeavor. If you are willing to do a little reading and put in some time and work, there is no reason why you can not be successful. And not just a little successful but do well enough to do Internet marketing full time.

If you look at what all the scams have in common you will see that the common thread is that they will tell you the money that you can make is easy and requires little to no work. Boy, wouldn’t that be nice.

They will tell you if you just do this one simple thing then you will be rolling in money. I have read this over and over again. If this was true, trust me, the secret would be out and we all would be doing it.

But reality is different then the way these scammers would have you believe.

It is simple really. To make money you have to sell a product or service. The product can be physical like a hat, car, lamp, etcetera, or something digital like an ebook or piece of software.

The thing is, though, is that you have to sell something that has value to someone. The age old proverb still holds true today, yet so many people forget it. Give people what they want.

The neat thing about Internet Marketing is that you can choose to either create your own product, like an ebook, or sell someone else’s product and get a commission. It is a great system where everyone wins.

You will want to set up a page of your own where people can go to read about the product and your thoughts on it. Then you can direct them to the sales page of the product that you are promoting.

Do not think that you can only have 10 people come to your site and then you will make a sale, it is possible, but keep in mind that sometimes you need hundreds visits before you get a sale.

But the idea, like I said, is simple. You need to find out what people want and give it to them. Do not think that purchasing some expensive marketing package is going to make you rich. The only people getting rich on those are the people who are selling them.

What is niche marketing? And, are you taking full advantage of this important skill in your business?

The first thing that every business owner has to embrace is –

Everyone is not your prospect or customer!

Niche marketing is talking to the right person, with the right message, through the right medium, at the right time.

Picking the right audience and qualifying your prospects will determine your long term success.

Let’s take a look at a specific market and break it down to a niche.

I’ll use my business as an example. I market candles. So candles would be my general market. However, if I clearly define my group the better my results will be.

A niche for the market of candles would be natural candles. To go even further would be a sub niche — people specifically looking for alternative wax, long lasting, soot free candles that smell great.

Why would I waste valuable marketing resources to target people who don’t care if they use cheap paraffin candles from Walmart. No offense, but they aren’t who I am talking to, so I don’t waste time on that market. See the difference?

How can you find a niche to target? Observing social interaction on the internet can help you identify the challenges and needs of a developing niche.

Google can be your best friend here. Search for “groups”, “forums”, or “discussion boards” (in quotes).

For example: candle “groups”.

Watch best selling book list or magazine racks to watch for market trends. Research competing services or products, so you know what is out there.

Remember, you are a solutions provider. Your passion for your product or service doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t provide a solution for your prospect.

Clearly define your “customer avatar” (just a fancy name for “your best customer”).

Knowing what your customer wants, how they want the marketing message delivered is critical.

If you are looking for a business opportunity but not sure what service or product you want to market, let the market tell you what it wants and how it wants it.

When I first started looking into marketing candles, I have to be quite honest, my first response was - how is anyone getting rich selling candles? But I did my homework and researched the market to see if this was something that I could get behind. I would have missed a great opportunity if I hadn’t checked out the market.

So do yourself a favor, don’t jump into a market that is performing poorly. Your business is your future, poor planning and not listening to what the market wants will only create frustration. Also, be careful about marketing a niche that is saturated. Know that the more saturated the market place is, the more competition. You will have to be unique and the give more value to your prospect or customer than your competition.

In the words of marketing guru Seth Godin –

“Focusing obsessively on one niche, one feature and one market is almost always a better idea than trying to satisfy everyone.”

Good advice.

If you want your company, website and blogs to reach a certain demographic profile, then you have to take certain actions. You can venture into niche marketing. This type of marketing strategy focuses on a targeted audience.

This savvy marketing strategy may be difficult in the beginning. You will come to a point where you will have difficulty in deciding what particular niche you will work on. It may not be difficult so long as you take a look into the niches that some successful internet marketers have worked on. Contrary to the popular belief, the internet does not revolve mainly on the website you put up, email list and the shopping cart. There is more than that. You have to carefully choose the appropriate niche, or everything else will be difficult for you to do.

Niche marketing is a marketing secret that you will want to know. Knowing that the internet world is getting more and more crowded and competitive, you have to focus on a certain target. Niche basically means promoting a single product or promoting to a specific demographic. You do not have to offer a wide array of products. Your single product caters mainly to a certain target group.

Here’s a good example that would get you a deeper understanding as to how niche marketing goes. A good example would be sports cars. A larger division would be all forms of automobile. You would have a hard time promoting and gaining web traffic and conversions to your website. Making automobiles your target would be so huge that you won’t be able to get organic traffic from three major search engines online. You would be caught up in a big competition because that search term is too wide.

If you have no clue as to how to start a niche marketing, then fear no more. The first thing you need to do is to decide a niche market with the help of a search term research or an experience of a theme. You could also follow a line of investigation on monetization methods or techniques for you to be able to receive cash with this niche. The third step would involve you finding an appropriate internet domain and hosting for your internet site. Lastly, build a website that is firmly focused around your niche with the help of suitable monetization and optimization.

You can be successful with niche marketing. Besides doing niche exploration and website construction to boost your chance of success, you need to come up with a plan and do it quickly and over and over again. Stick to focusing on a small market, and do not go for a large general market. You have to find a market that would most need the product that you have. Also, bear in mind that your product should be affordable. You can perfect the art of niche marketing. All you have to do is to strategize well and persevere.

Wow, check out Ron Paul’s Internet Marketing campaign!

Without doubt, Ron Paul’s success on the Internet is nothing short of amazing. His team’s approach has been ground breaking in the way they’ve applied Internet Marketing techniques, not only to reach potential supporters, but to attract a significant number of contributors.

Although not currently one of the frontrunners, Ron Paul is now being called an “Internet Phenomenon” by many political strategists.

While the Internet Marketing strategies being used by Ron Paul’s team are not necessarily unique, the dedication his team has shown in reaching potential supporters online has been outstanding. By deploying a very aggressive Internet Marketing campaign, Ron Paul’s team has attracted a flood of contributors and a huge number of avid supporters.

In a very short period of time, Ron Paul’s team has developed an enormous Internet presence. In fact, anyone who’s been online in the past six months has certainly seen multiple references to Ron Paul on the news or social media sites.

If you consider the raw numbers, Ron Paul’s Internet Marketing strategy leaves his competition in the dust - and it’s a big reason he’s still in the race:

Consider the facts …

When internet marketing was first catching on there were fewer people to target. Consequently the internet marketer could simply market to anyone on the internet without having to worry about things like industry niche and so on. There was simply no need for targeted marketing. Back in those days the range of products too had a nearly universal appeal that again meant generic marketing for the whole net. The only concern was to reach as many people as possible regardless of any demographic variation.

Things have changed drastically with the internet population increasing every day. Today the internet has become specialized as it tries to reach specific segments of people. Products too have become user-centric. All of this has resulted in a desperate need for focus in marketing because an ill defined target means advertisement campaign budget being wasted as the wrong audience will be viewing the ads.

Niche advertising has become the reality of internet marketing today. There is no percentage in general marketing. There is a plenty of size variation within niches. The key thing is that all niches have peculiar defining characteristics and demographic appeal that defines the marketing strategy that will work with them.

A good internet marketer always looks for undeserved niches. This means that the best niche to advertise in is one that falls within a common pool of the demographic appeal but has yet to be discovered by other internet marketers. Finding such niches is becoming quite difficult but once you have found an undeserving niche and you have the means to cater to its needs then you are in good business.

This is how niche internet marketing works. By finding an undiscovered niche and then catering to its requirements. Sometimes it may seem that you have found a new niche but that is not the case. You need thorough research to confirm that the niche you are going to work with is truly underserved. You must also double check to make sure that your products and services will appeal to this niche. Only then should you start thinking on developing your product.

This is not as easy as it sounds because every step will require extensive research and confirmation that things are indeed as they appear to be. Any lapse in this process means that you will have spent a lot of time and money on trying to work with a niche that was not meant for you at all.

What you need to keep in mind is that even if the going is tough the end result is well worth every bit of effort you make. Niche marketing is the most rewarding form of internet operation that anyone could do. It is difficult yes but nothing pays as well as niche marketing.

Niche marketing works well because there is no sales resistance. Your prospects are simply waiting for you to make them an offer and help you sell your product. There is also no competition because you will be the one to have discovered the niche. No one else knows about it and hence no one is marketing to it.

Morning Sickners

Everyone and their mother talks about niche marketing. Find a profitable niche with low competition and milk it for everything it’s worth. That seems to be the mantra these days. There is a reason that everyone preaches niche marketing; because it works. If it didn’t work, people wouldn’t do it. But, what if you don’t want to start a hundred niche sites? What if you don’t care about “floral pattern baby diapers.” Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of niche vs. non-niche websites.

WHAT IS A NICHE WEBSITE?
A niche is defined as a specialized corner of the market. While “baby products” is a very broad market, “NFL jerseys for infants” is a very specialized corner of that market. Whether it’s profitable or not, I can only speculate at this point. Most, if not all, markets will have niches that you can target. The key to finding a good niche for internet marketing purposes is to find a keyword phrase that has good traffic, low competition and can be easily monetized.

BENEFITS OF NICHE WEBSITES
People like niche websites because it’s easier to get a niche website to the first page of Google than it is to get a very general website to the first page of Google. Free web traffic from search engines is the best traffic because it’s targeted and it’s free. When I say that it is easier to rank for a niche website, I mean it takes less time and less work.

For example, there are a lot of websites selling shoes. If you wanted to start a website to sell shoes, you would have some very serious competition. You would have to create a lot of backlinks over a long period of time, and/or you would have to pay a lot of money to buy advertising. On the other hand, if you created a website specializing in “old school tennis shoes,” you wouldn’t have as much competition. You could get on the first page of search results a lot quicker, which means you could start making money a lot quicker.

CONS OF NICHE WEBSITES
A niche, by definition, is a specialized market. That means that you will only get a small percentage of the larger market. What does that mean? Less traffic = less money. A large, general website selling shoes might get a lot of traffic and make a lot of sales. Niche websites are relatively small and therefore will will make much less money.

Since niche websites are small, so you need to create lots of them to make significant money. If you have one website bringing in $20 per month in revenue, that’s good, but you won’t be retiring from that income. You need to find more niches and build more websites. That means more work for you. If you like that process, then maybe it’s not a bad thing. But, not everyone enjoys researching and writing about obscure niche subjects day after day.

WHAT IS A NON-NICHE WEBSITE?
For lack of a better term, a non-niche website is simply a general website that targets a broad market, not necessarily a specialized one. For example, targeting the shoe market, as opposed to the old school tennis shoe market.

BENEFITS OF NON-NICHE WEBSITES
The main benefit of a general website is the potential for more traffic. More traffic = more money. If you can get free traffic from a large market, you will make a lot more money (hopefully) than you would with a niche website. If you create and succeed with a general website, you will not need to create multiple websites to generate more revenue. You can focus on improving your existing website, instead of constantly researching and creating new markets.

CONS OF NON-NICHE WEBSITES
The biggest obstacle when creating a general website is the level of competition. If the competition in your market is very strong, it will be much more difficult to get on the first page of search results. If you can’t get traffic to your website, you won’t make money. You can always buy advertising, but advertising in competitive markets can be quite expensive and does not guarantee you’ll get high-quality, targeted traffic.

It’s not impossible to get on the first page of search results for competitive keywords, but it will take time, effort and a good strategy. You have to think about your website like a business. Just as you wouldn’t expect to open a retail store and beat Wal-Mart right away, don’t expect to create a website and beat the big guns in your market without a fight. Think about what’s important to you and weigh your options.

It is said that the best way to make money is to find out where people are spending it and then get in front of them. One sure way to do this is through niche marketing. What is niche marketing? It is marketing a product or service that a group of people have an interest in, such as weight loss, dog grooming, home theater systems, etc. The topics are endless. So are the affiliate programs that go along with those topics.

How do you find out what niches or products people are spending money on? There are many ways online to research this. Sites such as eBay and Amazon have sections that show hot items and top sellers. Clickbank also has a marketplace where you can compare different products and how well they are selling. These sites also have affiliate programs so you can earn a commission on the products they offer.

Another very important part of discovering a profitable niche is to find out what people are typing into the Search Engines. Those Search Phrases or Keywords are important to finding demand and competition for a particular set of keywords. For example, if you found that tanning beds are selling well within the health and beauty niche, you can do a keyword search using one of the many free online keyword tools. If you type the term “tanning bed” into a keyword tool, you will find over 100,000 searches each month for that term. This shows a good demand for the product, but the competition is also high with around a million sites. The good thing about keyword research is that you will also see longer term keywords displayed as well, such as Wolff Tanning Bed, Sunquest Tanning Bed, and many more. These are product names that many people are still typing into the search engines but the competition is much less. If you use these longer tail keywords to title your articles and website content with and direct visitors to your affiliate
link for these products, then you are on your way to becoming a successful niche marketer.

There are other aspects to niche marketing, such as choosing a domain name, web hosting, site building, writing original content, search engine optimization, linking strategies and more. Writing and submitting articles based on your long tail keywords is a good start as it allows you to take advantage of high ranking article sites to get your message seen. The other aspects mentioned above will help you establish a
longer term presence in your chosen niche.

People misunderstand features and benefits. I don’t mean you don’t know what they are. Everyone knows what a feature and benefits is. Basically, features are those which pertain to attributes of your product while benefits tell what it does for your prospect or customer.

Most gurus in direct marketing will tell you to “Forget about features, focus on benefits.” And that “Features tell and benefits sell.” But those statements are not exactly accurate since there is really a need to be able to mix the two together to succeed in your internet marketing business.

When you are capitalizing only on the benefit, there is really no uniqueness that can be derived from it. For all you know, everybody in the field is probably lobbying customers’ loyalty for the same benefit. The feature is often where we derived the uniqueness. So there is actually a spectrum. You don’t just do benefits. If you want to give your copy verisimilitude of multitude, a richness and believability, you go up the spectrum.

And here are the levels synonymous to a pyramid.

First is the feature. A feature is something the product is or has. That’s the precise definition. Tires companies like Goodyear and Michelin are good examples. A feature of a tire might be in a commercial, “It is steel belted.” Another feature might be, “It is double ply.”

The next level consists of an advantage, which is simply a feature or features that other products lack. So there might be many people who likes steel belted or others double ply. But what if you are the only one with both? This factor of exclusivity really pulls people in to buy from you.

The third level is the benefit. What does the product do? Probably, if you have double ply and steel belt, you may have better breaking power. You may be able to make turns quicker. The car handles better. You are safer in rain or snow. So you put those benefits altogether and form the third level.

Finally, you have to include ultimate benefits, which are better described as the benefit of the benefit. How many people remember the Michelin tire commercial where it opens up and there’s a baby sitting in the middle of the tire? That is the ultimate benefit. “Buy my product and you won’t kill your baby.” And I don’t mean that as a joke. That’s what they are saying. If they came out and said it that way it’s crude ad disgusting, but that’s what they’re saying.

In business-to-business (based from tires example), the real benefit is that it will save gas and get packages there on time. But on a fleet manager working for a guy who owns a company, the real benefit is my boss will be happy. I’ll look good to the boss. And the clich

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money working for yourself. The people who do not make money with this marketing are not promoting their niche affiliate marketing business correctly. This article will tell you how to correctly promote your marketing business to make the big money.

1. The first way to promote your affiliate business is to use articles. A great way to get traffic to your business is to write articles and submit them to different article directories.

The problem that many people have is that they only write a few articles a week and hope that will get the job done. To get the best results you need to be submitting at least two articles a day, and if possible more.

Another problem that people face is they do not have the time to write the articles. You are able to hire an article writer who will write your articles for you, which will promote your affiliate marketing business while not taking up any of your time.

2. Another way to market your niche affiliate marketing business is to take advantage of discussion boards. By using discussion boards you are performing forum marketing. All you have to do to use forum marketing is find a forum related to your niche, begin to post throughout the forum, and you are promoting your affiliate business by the links that are in your signature.

To be most successful, you are going to need to contribute some time to posting through the forum. You should be posting multiple times a day in the forum, getting involved into the conversation, to get the best results.

3. You can also market your business using social networking sites. If you know how to use social network sites, you will be able to draw a ton of traffic. With sites like YouTube and Digg, you will be able to promote your affiliate marketing business to people outside the forum world.

4. The final way to promote your affiliate marketing business is to use blogs. Blogging has become one of the best ways to market because it is becoming increasingly more popular. If you have a blog than you can begin to advertise in it, otherwise you are going to need to start a blog.

There are many ways to market your affiliate business, more than are listed in this article. These are three of the ways that provide the best results when promoting your niche affiliate marketing business.

Parenting Tips

With all of the marketing methods used by internet business owners, it takes creative internet marketing to really grab the attention of potential customers. Creative methods of internet marketing can be implemented by anyone with an internet business. It doesn’t take special skills to use many of the creative internet marketing methods available to internet business owners. All it takes are creative ideas and the desire to run a successful internet business.

Newsletters are a creative way to reach potential customers. Those who write their own daily, weekly, or monthly newsletters afford themselves the opportunity to include links to their business websites and individual products they have for sale. The problem is, there are literally thousands of internet newsletters available for those seeking online information.

What can an internet business owner do to make their newsletter more creative and more worthwhile than the average internet newsletter? One of the keys to creative internet marketing is through creative newsletter authoring. Internet business owners who author a newsletter should offer newsletter subscribers something no one else is offering. Internet business owners should consider offering a weekly or monthly prize to a random subscriber. This creative endeavor could bring in a sizeable number of newsletter subscribers who will then in turn find the internet business links.

Newsletter authors looking for creative internet marketing solutions can also provide information no one else provides. For instance, if an internet business involves toys, internet business owners should consider authoring a newsletter with valuable information for parents. Offer newsletter subscriptions for particular age groups that assist parents with difficult questions and matters of parenting. Newsletter authors should make their information more interesting and more valuable than any other information on the internet. This creative marketing endeavor could pay off considerably.

Creative internet marketing can also be obtained through internet contests. There are scores of people who enter internet contests, and if internet business owners offer internet contests they could bring a sizeable amount of traffic to their business websites. It isn’t necessary to offer an expensive prize that will break the bank. Internet businesses can offer low-cost prizes that best represent their internet businesses. For instance, if an internet business owner operates an internet fishing store, they should consider giving away a fishing lure or two. Creative internet marketing through internet contests can bring in tons of traffic, even with the smallest of prizes. A five or ten-dollar prize could bring in hundreds or even thousands of potential customers.

After deciding on creative marketing through an internet contest, the internet contest must be marketed as well. Contest marketing is extremely easy. Internet business owners can post messages on every contest message board they can find. Within minutes of posting, eager contest entrants begin visiting websites and submitting their entries. Contests are one of the most creative and clever ways of internet marketing. The price of a small prize could bring more traffic than internet businesses could ever imagine.

The key to attracting new customers to your business, whether online or off, lies in understanding a few simple things about how the brain works. Usually at an unconscious level, people are constantly scanning their environment to separate the relevant from the irrelevant, the safe from the potentially hazardous, the desirable from the unappealing. The major challenge for the small business marketer is discover what motivates their target audience, and then to speak as directly as possible to those fears, desires, goals, priorities, and needs.

But it Worked in the Movies

You’re only kidding yourself if you think you can be all things to all people. That insidious form of self deception falls in the same category as ‘If you build it, they will come’. Woody Allen is quoted as saying that ‘Eighty percent of success is showing up’, but bear in mind that comedy (and sometimes drama) is often based on exaggeration. Showing up — which can range from creating an Internet presence to attending networking meetings — is a good start, but it generally won’t get you too far unless you throw in a dash of originality, competitiveness, and a strategic plan of action.

Since people are constantly looking for specialized information, services, and products, a strategy worth pursuing is to devote at least 50% of your marketing efforts to reaching niche markets. Granted, marketing is no more of a ‘one size fits all’ endeavor than anything else, but what isn’t going to change is the fact that people are generally drawn to things that are customized, personalized, or otherwise geared to their personal preferences.

Are You Talking to Me?

Considering that your prospective clients and customers are continually scanning the Internet, the media, and their environment for information that’s relevant to them, why not tip the scales in your favor by tailoring your marketing message directly to the different niche markets you’re trying to reach? Whether it’s senior citizens, new homeowners, parents to be, recent graduates, newlyweds, or frustrated job hunters, capturing people’s attention can sometimes be as simple as recognizing them as individuals or as a member of a specific demographic group.

For example, have you ever inadvertently ignored someone who was saying to you ‘excuse me’ or ‘you dropped something’; but if they called you by your name, you’d immediately snap out of your haze and pay attention. Again, it’s just a matter of breaking through people’s filtering systems and being noticed. That’s often the number one step to effectively marketing your products, your services, or yourself. Actually, I’d break that down into three parts: get noticed, connect with your prospect, and put them in a receptive state of mind. If you convey the impression, right off the bat, that your service or product is tailor made for their needs, wants, or specific situation, then you may have fulfilled all three requirements in one fell swoop.

Once you’ve clearly and compellingly presented your case for making your prospect’s life easier, more secure, healthier, more comfortable, prosperous, convenient, happier, or more problem free, your remaining challenge is to anticipate objections, lower sales resistance, and inject your offer with a subtle, yet perceptible sense of urgency. If you’ve painted a vivid, benefits-filled picture of your service or product, their motivation to experience those advantages will help you convert them from a prospect to a customer.

What is internet marketing and how difficult is it to get started. Internet marketing is basically related to the traditional form of marketing products or services, except this method is done online over the internet.

Can you remember the first lesson you received on how to drive a car. You were told to put the gear lever in neutral, put the key in the ignition, turn the key, select first, check the mirrors, release the clutch press the accelerator, put both hands on the wheel and away you go. You thought this is all so complicated I will never be able to do it, but with patience and persistence over time, it comes naturally.

The same process applies when starting out with an Internet Marketing course, you need to take small steps and keep on repeating these steps. Most people do not succeed online because they are not persistent, Napoleon Hill said in his book the Secret, “Persistence is an essential factor in the procedure of transmitting desire into its monetary equivalent”.

When starting any new business there are some things you have to learn first and there are many courses available to assist you in this learning curve.

With internet Marketing, depending on your product or service, you could have a global market or a local market. 70% of US households now use the internet as an information source when shopping locally for products or services and 54% of US consumers have replaced the golden pages with internet searches.

The younger generation have grown up with the internet as part of their daily social activity; this in turn will be one their main business formats for their future. Internet or affiliate marketing is growing rapidly online and will be the main source of income and financial freedom for many budding entrepreneurs in the future. So if you want to work from home and make money online, get stuck into an internet marketing course, be persistent with your methods and make your fortune online to do the things you have always wanted to do.

Internet marketing comes in many shapes and forms. There are so many different ways to gain attention online that I don’t even want to start thinking about listing them. But one of the most common words you will find in the Internet marketing dictionary is the word niche.

I would be very surprised if you’ve never heard the term niche marketing. In fact no doubt it is your interest in this subject which has brought you to this article. Niche marketing is a term which is bandied about the Internet almost as much as those embarrassing videos of George W making a mess of the most basic of bodily functions, talking!

Even though everybody is talking about niche marketing very few people really understand what it means. But it is quite simple. Any group or set of people with identifiable, specific tastes and lifestyle preferences can be referred to as a niche. As it relates to Internet marketing we would also want to be thinking about whether this group of people present a viable business opportunity to those of us who wish to promote our products, services or anything else for that matter.

Niche marketing can be a very lucrative pastime and contrary to what you may have been told it is really not that difficult. You just need to have the right software at your disposal in order to generate specific information about people’s preferences in a niche.

Of course this is a much simplified description of niche marketing and there are literally thousands of nuances which you will only come to know by actually doing this stuff. But the only way you will learn is to make a start. To get you firing on all cylinders here is a short list of the kind of things you will need to make a go of niche marketing.

1. Keyword Research Tools
2. Search Engine Competition Tools
3. Content Generation Tools
4. Web Page Generation Tools
5. Affiliate Programs
6. Your Own Product

I don’t really have the space here to get into any of these in detail but I just would like to say that keyword research and competition research is one of the most important (if not the most important) steps in the process. Basically, if you get your keyword research wrong then you are destined to fail from day one.

Sorry to be so blunt about it but that is the truth. You need to target phrases which people search for on engines like Google and they need to be phrases which do not present too much competition to you when you’re trying to get into the Google listings. I’m talking about the organic Google listings as opposed to paying to get on the Google first page which is a whole different ballgame.

The key phrase also needs to be searched enough online every month in order to be worth your time investment. Thankfully there is a piece of software which makes the entire keyword research and competition minefield an absolute breeze.

So it just remains for me to say best of luck with your niche marketing efforts. The rewards are great for those who persevere and get it right!

It will find keywords with good search numbers and it will tell you how easy it is to get onto the first page of Google for those keywords. Rory has been using it since it was first released and has never needed to use any other software for keyword research. He has no hesitation in recommending this to any niche marketer.

Niche marketing is about carving out a section for you of a large market where there is less competition and willing market. It is the easiest way for you to start small and to make profit fast, because you will leverage your business alongside those big companies promoting the same products and services as yours and you will still make your profits or even, you can promote their products and make money from them.

Following the right and established strategy, you can take a cut of your chosen market and make good money from there, and even build a real business from it, it all depends on how you have planned to do your business.

The following steps will guide you successfully into profitable niche marketing.

1. Choose your Niche: There are many niches you can choose from, in fact you have all the things underneath the earth you can think as niches, but definitely not all of them are good for you. To get the right one, think of what you love to do; your passion, hobby, knowledge, interest, etc.

Something that gives you fun, something you love doing again and again without being bored. Once you can get that, you have a niche. Penciled down about three of such, from where you will select the best later.

2. Look for Available Market: Successful niche marketing is about providing solutions to specific problems. Find out problems relating to your proposed niche which people wants solved. For example, if you choose pet as your niche, you can have problems like; how to protect pets from diseases, how to prevent pets from being wild, how to turn wild animals into pets, etc. All these are problems that some people need solutions to. Knowing them will make your business relevant and you will readily find hungry markets that will be willing to buy whatever product or service you offer.

3. Build A Site Or Landing Page: You will need a website or a landing page, which you will publish on the internet to tell the world about your niche products. Primarily, you will look for keywords relating to your niche that people have been using to search for information. Get the ones with high search volume of about 5,000 in a month using free Google keyword tool.

Write information based on these keywords and put them on your site as the pages.

4. Make Money: This should be the primary objective of your niche marketing business. You can make money by referring people to the products you put on your pages as the available solution to the problems they want solved. This you can do by pay per click advertising, affiliate marketing or packaging your own e-book, or your service.

Niche marketing is very profitable, locate the area through which you can get your own cut of your chosen market and start to make money.

Success in any internet marketing business does not happen overnight. It’s just like in the real world. You have to work hard, do your time, and be smart with everything that you do. And you have to learn how to work smart, not hard because that is where you can truly run your online business. Because your aim should be to have a business, one that will last for a long time and not just a one-time gig. Why earn money in just one big time when you can duplicate that in the long run if you just do your internet marketing campaign correctly?

Doing it right is the name of the game when it comes to internet marketing. You have to be organized. You must have a business model to guide you with everything that you do and invest online. And everything that you do must be based on facts, there must be a reason to it and that it should not just be a hit or miss act.

Let us get started with getting organized. Look at your desk. Is it full of paper, pencils, notebooks and all things that remind you of office clutter? Then look at your computer’s desktop. Is it filled with icons and folders from top to bottom, left to right? If you say yes to one or both of these things then you certainly need to organize your files, and maybe even your life. Because how can you properly manage a business if you cannot even clean up your own desk? All internet marketing gurus follow a certain system, with each component working to fulfill a bigger end goal. And that is how you should be working and thinking.

Next, focus on a single niche at first especially if you are just starting out with your internet marketing campaign. You can start small, maybe within a niche that has only a handful of competition. The goal here is not for you to start earning the big bucks, but to start learning the ropes of internet marketing. Take your learning process one baby step at a time and you will soon be basking in your glory when you finally reach the top.

Then you must create your own internet marketing campaign or system. Some say that there are no more secrets out there, that everything has already been said and done. If that is the case, then you can go ahead and imitate the process of a successful internet marketer. But do this just for your own self and never repackage that system or process and then sell it as your own. The best approach to this is to enroll in an internet marketing course from some of the top guys in the industry. Most of them are offering their own courses and are always glad to help the new ones. Whatever they teach you put it into good use, and actual practice.

It takes guts, perseverance, and the willingness to learn and be humbled as well to become a true success in internet marketing. Whatever your niche might be, with whatever form of website you come up with, formulating a systematized internet marketing campaign is always the best way to achieve your big dollar dreams.
