Niche Marketing Can be Very Successful!
Filed Under Internet | Leave a Comment
Niche marketing is simple: fulfilling a special need for a product or service that no one seems to be meeting yet. People don’t understand niche marketing, so they don’t fully use it to their advantage.
Your website may already be based on a broad niche market. Regardless of your niche, the more you narrow it down, the more potential you have for a hefty profit.
In the beginning you may want to select a large niche and then narrow it down by picking a couple of sub-niches. Narrowing your focus, or becoming an “expert” in a sub-specialty, will help you to meet specific needs that your customers may have previously had difficulty meeting on their own.
Targeted niche marketing allows you to focus in on a specific group that has a high demand for your product. When someone is looking for a particular item, they are usually first looking for information about the item and then where to buy.
Locating your target market is the key step in being able to provide potential customers what they are looking for. That could equate to substantially more money and far less work for you.
Any of your own interests could potentially provide a niche market. Maybe you could get the attention of a niche group with one of your own special interests. For example, internet marketers, direct mail, and mail order markets often write books on unique topics. On the internet these items are sold as e-zines or e-books.
Once you have found a profitable niche, determine what your business plan will be for your niche marketing program. Some folks prefer to sell products that others make, but they are related to their niche. This can be accomplished with affiliate marketing, a product can be advertised on their site, and then the potential buyer is provided a link which takes them to the vendor’s site. If the potential buyer makes a purchase the affiliate marketer receives a commission check directly from the vendor.
Some marketers would rather develop their own products.
By selling a product you have made yourself, you won’t have to share the profit with a wholesaler or manufacturer. The only way to guarantee high on-line profitability, whether you are a seasoned internet marketer or a novice to the whole “make money on-line thing, is to establish your own niche affiliate marketing program with a network of highly targeted niche websites.

Succeed in Your Online Niche Market by Using Long Tail Keywords
Filed Under Internet | Leave a Comment
If you plot a line on the graph to show book sales, from the number one bestseller to titles that have sold just a single volume, what you will have is a very long descending line. It is the long descending line that is referred to as the “long tale”. This kind of line can be plotted for any market, not just books.
Although Amazon dominates a huge number of relatively narrow online niche market sectors all along the long tail of book sales, that does not mean that Amazon has a monopoly or that there is no opportunity for anybody else to build a successful business of their own using long tail keywords that are targeted at just one or two niche markets. Simply by learning to dominate one or two well-chosen niches, you will be able to establish yourself in a very comfortable position for doing business on the Internet.
When someone is new to internet marketing, they should not attempt to compete with the big companies at the top of the tail where the competition is very strong. Instead, focus on an online market niche that is lower down and you will stand a much better chance of dominating it.
So, how exactly should an Internet marketing newbie go about finding a niche and dominating it?
Firstly, find something which you are interested in. Then narrow it down to specifics. A sharp focus is vital for successful niche marketing. You are aiming to find a specific niche that is both small enough for you to stand a good chance of dominating, but large enough for you to be able to make enough money out of as the leading expert in the field.
Let’s suppose that are an avid fisherman. “Fishing” is a huge niche so you need to be more specific. Now “fly fishing” is an improvement but you still need to narrow it down to something more specific such as “fly fishing equipment”. This would be your primary niche. The name of your website will preferably be the same as your keyword phrase i.e., flyfishingequipment.com or fly-fishing-equipment.com.
Using your online niche market site to set yourself up as a fly fishing equipment supplier might be a viable idea if you have time to deal with wholesale buying, packing and shipping and enquiries.
The big drawback with this business model is that there is only a finite amount of goods that you can turnaround in a given time, so you will either have to stay small (which you can do by choosing a tighter niche) or hire staff to meet growing demand.
Another option would be to make your own information product. With this you will have to do a lot of research and writing before you see a return. However, once you have your information product up on your site you can sell it as often as you like without needing to handle stock or take on employees.
You may also want to find some relevant affiliate programs to promote in order to generate extra revenue on the back end. You will need to market your website so that you rank well for the keyword phrase, “fly fishing equipment”. Again, you are not attempting to compete with the big boys or trying to sell to the entire world. Your aim is simply to attract a few hundred people to your online niche market site each week and work on turning them into loyal customers.

For niche markets like these, traditional forms of mass Internet marketing, such as banner ads, classifieds, and traffic generation programs, are not as effective. The mass advertising forms are much more effective, cost-wise, when promoting a product that has wide market appeal.
So what does the niche marketer do? Assuming he has a web presence, and provides a quality product or other solution to the niche customer’s needs, he can become involved in article writing. The articles would be of a particular interest to the niche customer. They would contain valuable information that the niche customer cannot find anywhere else.
Sometimes article writers will write generic articles that really don’t provide any real benefit to the reader, thinking that an article is an article. That is simply not true. Think about yourself. When you read an article, if you do not learn something new when you read the article, are you disposed to learning more about the person, company, or products represented by the article writer?
The key to writing articles for a niche market and effectively gaining web presence by doing it, is to write quality. Fill the article with useful information. Show the reader that you really are an expert in your niche. Give the reader a burning desire to want to hear more of what you have to say about their need. And the only way you can create that burning desire is to give them quality information in the first place.
Good, well-written, articles are the key to niche marketing in today’s Internet marketing environment. Write articles, submit them to the most-used article databases, and watch your web site traffic grow.

The reasons for this are varied. Here are just a few reasons why the majority fail, and how you can avoid them and be successful.
1) Mental Attitude is probably the biggest, yet least acknowledged, reason why people fail to make money online.
Not only the natural, and normal, fear of failure either.Their subconscious negative mental barriers stop them actually wanting to succeed and make money. The fear is that they will become greedy, and obsessive, leaving less time to spend with family and friends. Maybe they think they will not not know what to do with the extra money they make, unbelievable though that may sound.
Obviously, these barriers have to be overcome and people have to consciously want to succeed, want to have more money to spend on family, friends and/or themselves. If you have tried for awhile to make money online and failed maybe this is the first place you should look - inside yourself, your motivation, or lack of it. As that old saying goes ‘Where you are in life is where you want to be’ - so start by wanting to be somewhere much better.
Following a Proper Method or System.
There are many e-books and courses available online to help you succeed, but unfortunately most of them are just theory and fluff. All mouth and no trousers, as we say in the UK. Very few are step-by-step guides and even those that are often miss out the one vital step needed for success.
3) Competing with the experts, big spenders and the majority of Internet marketeers.
If you are just getting started it is almost impossible to compete successfully with people who are many times more experienced at making money online than you are. If you are trying to sell Internet marketing products as an Affiliate, or selling your own product(s) online, and enter a market where the competition is so much stronger than you in every way you’re bound to have problems
It doesn’t matter what method you use - PPC, SEO, etc the market place was probably saturated even before you came along so you are almost bound to fail. Even trying to enter markets that were once niche markets, such as dog training, stop smoking, acne, pregnancy have now become so popular they can no longer really be called ‘niche markets’.
To succeed today you need to know how to effectively target niche markets and penetrate tiny but profitable crevices of the world wide web to find the easy money. Take this to be one of the best pieces of advice you’ll receive as a new online marketer!
So you see, despite the loads of crap out there, despite studying the million e-books, courses, memberships and reports on how to make money online with so little success, it CAN be done.
With a combination of a positive mind-set and the right approach making money online via Niche Marketing can quickly become a reality for you too. Follow this advice and surprise yourself!

Niche marketing with SEO isn’t quite self explanatory - so here’s a simple overview. A niche is simply a product category that people are looking for and that doesn’t have overwhelming competition on the supply side of the demand/supply equation.
The ideal niche is one that has great demand and little or no supply available. Such niches are rare. You could spend a lifetime looking for one and never find it - so don’t count on this if you are planning to do niche marketing.
Fortunately, niche marketing with SEO doesn’t require that one’s niche be ideal to be good from our perspective - just good enough. Most people who set up marketing websites don’t research the competition very thoroughly while picking the market in which they are going to operate. This is a good thing for those of us in the know about online market research.
By picking a niche with relatively high demand and low supply, and by “optimizing” our website to attract the notice of the search engines, we can compete successfully in the marketplace.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It consists of two parts: on-page optimization and off-page optimization. On-page optimization is mostly a matter of picking a keyword for your page that matches the informational theme of the page. A web page with the theme “niche marketing” would have “niche marketing” in the keywords meta-tag in the Page Source” view of your browser.
Off-page optimization is effected by the recognition accorded your web page by other webmasters - primarily expressed as links from their websites to yours. Search engines are able to track both optimization factors - and they give more weight to the latter than to the former.
A page will have matured when other niche marketing websites, known to be authorities, contain links pointing to the page. SEO is a big subject and you will see it referred to repeatedly throughout many websites concerned with niche marketing. The first question that should occur to you at this point is - What Am I Going to Sell?
Rather than pick a product that is familiar to you - or one that you can create yourself - both of which are very tempting choices - I strongly suggest that you decide at the outset to pick one that you know people want. In other words do the market research first - find out what people are actually looking for and that can be sold profitably - and then decide what to sell.
If your research leads you to a subject that is not the most familiar, don’t let it throw you. Learn the subject and then sell it. It is likely that you will find a niche in an area with which you already have some familiarity, because you are likely to start with something familiar as you begin doing the research. It is best if this is so, because you can write most capably about a subject about which you care passionately.
What Do I need to Know to Do Niche Marketing with SEO?
In simplest terms you need to know:
* How to set up a website properly,
* How to select the search engine keywords that will bring traffic to your website,
* How to structure your website to be ranked highly by the search engines - so it appears on the first page of “results” that a search engine displays when a visitor searches for your keywords,
* How to “monetize” your web traffic to create multiple streams of income, and
* How to lead your sites visitors to a decision to buy what you are selling - without using a heavy-handed sales pitch. This is called “pre-selling”.
The first of these questions is answered very thoroughly by sources that I will reference in subsequent articles. It is a big subject - bigger than I can include in this article.
The choice of keywords has also been covered by many writers on the subject. Each has his own angle on how to do the research, and some provide useful tools either free or at modest cost.
How To “Monetize” Your Website
To monetize your website is simply to connect your site’s readers with an opportunity to buy something in such a way that you make money in the process. There are a number of good choices in this regard, and you can use more than one of them.
For starters, you can directly sell something via your website using your own merchant account or PayPal account. Your product might be a tangible item that you are prepared to drop-ship to your customer - or it might be a piece of software, an e-book, or an information product that you will deliver immediately as an electronic file.
Then again, you might sell a product produced by a company of whom you are an affiliate. There are many good affiliate programs available. In this case you simply include on your website a link that takes the reader to a website provided by the product supplier. The link identifies you to the supplier, so if the reader becomes a customer, you get a commission on the sale. Such commissions can run as high as 75% and be very profitable to you.
And/or you might contract with a product or service provider to be paid a fixed fee for each referral that you send their way via your website.
And/or you might sell advertising space on your website, either using Google’s Adsense program, which will pay you on a per-click basis, or through one of several other available programs. Some of these pay you on a weekly or monthly basis and can be more lucrative than Adsense ads.
A Note On Monetizing
One of the most common mistakes that beginners make when setting up a commercial website is to monetize the site too soon. Until the site contains enough useful content, its readers should not be expected to trust its author enough to buy anything on the site. Why should they? The traffic to the site will tell you when that trust has been established - then you will have “earned” the right to monetize it.
If you monetize too soon, before you have at least thirty highly informative pages and twenty unique visitors per day, then you run the risk that both search engines and human visitors will just see the site as a sales pitch - and accord it little value or rank.
The Value Of “Pre-Selling”
As I said earlier, most Internet surfers are not looking for advertising when they use the search engines. They are looking for useful information - authoritative information that informs them about the subject of interest to them. When you provide such information, you gain credibility in your readers’ eyes that you could never acquire by presenting them with a sales pitch.
Niche marketing is all about credibility. As your readers recognize the intrinsic value of the information that you provide, they become more open to the idea of buying something from you. As this occurs, the likelihood that they will buy from you rises, the percentage of visitors who are “converted” into customers rises accordingly - and the ease with which you make money online soars.
If you are serious about making money with niche marketing, the next thing you need to study is the choices you will need to address in deciding how you will go about doing so.

Publishing ebooks in niche subjects is a proven business and can make you a lot of money finding niches to exploit can be both time consuming and disheartening if you struggle to find any good markets.
But there is good news and in this article I’m going to show you a simple strategy you can use to sell ebooks to as you want.
Freekeywordtracker.com
This is an amazing resource that won’t cost you a penny to sign up to.
Go to the above site and start typing in niche markets that interest you. If you had an interest in dogs you’d type in “dogs”. Then all you need to do is make a list of all of the sub niches within the general niche market of dogs. These are all potential niches for you to exploit.
Amazon.com
The bookselling giant’s amazon.com are an amazing resource for finding niche markets you’d never have thought about entering. Go the web site and in the search bar select “books”. Then type in a niche you’d like to create a product around. For example type in “gardening”. Go through the results and start jotting down all of the niche markets that jump out at you.
When many people hear this technique they immediately think “wait a sec how can I compete with Amazon?” You won’t be of course you’ll be catering for a different market. When people buy from Amazon they have to wait days for a book to arrive. As ebook publishers we can offer instant gratification as our customers get our info products straight away as a download.
Another great thing about downloadable info products is bizarrely they are seen to have a higher perceived value. You might be able to charge fifteen dollars for a book selling it via Amazon. However if you sell a downloadable info product you can charge up to fifty dollars. Crazy but true.
dummies.com
This is another fantastic research tool for the niche ebook publisher. You can find a ton of niche topics across all of the “…For Dummies” books. The Dummies Company has made creating niche products an art form in its own right. Search through their titles in general niches that interest you and jot down potential ebook topics.
goarticles.com
Article directories are, in my eyes, the best way to find subjects to create ebooks around. The directory Go Articles is just one of many in which you can go to the site, type in a niche subject in the search bar and get literally thousands and thousands of ebook ideas.
The key here when visiting is to make as bigger list as you can of potential topics you find interesting or you have a interest in. go to freekeywordtracker.com type in your topics and if there is people searching for information those topics (at least five thousand a month) you’ve found your self a potential niche that you could
Turn into an ebook and a nice profit.
I want to quickly dispel a myth about the Internet. Don’t for one second think you can just throw up a site, sit back and become rich. Many would have you believe the Internet is just one huge get rich quick scheme. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Done properly ebook publishing can change your financial situation dramatically.
We’re not aiming to become a millionaire here. We want to build a network of mini sites that each makes about 1K a month. The key is being able to come up with the niche product ideas then all you have to do is create the products.
If your thinking I’m never going to be able to write a book, I’m not that clever and I didn’t do very good in English’ well you need not worry you can hire people to do that for you at elance. Com. for around five to seven hundred dollars freelance writers will create your ebook for you.
You are an Internet marketer, not a writer. Have one product created, set up pay per click campaigns, write a press release and blast a few articles over the net on the topic of your ebook. Then have another one created, do the same, and just rinse and repeat.
Multiple streams of autopilot income are the secret of wealthy entrepreneurs from around the globe. Now thanks to ebooks and the Internet, anyone can set up streams of income that sends money into their bank account even whilst they sleep.

#1 Niche Marketing and Blogging Tip
Filed Under Internet | Leave a Comment
Today many people have blogs the internet. There are millions of blogs online with a new one started just about every second of the day.
Niche marketing is where where you take a broad theme and narrow it down to something more targeted. For example sports is a broad theme whereas golf is a niche within the sports theme. You could even narrow it down more and target how to be a better putter as a very narrow niche.
One thing nice about combining niche marketing with blogging with is you can make money writing about things you enjoy. If you have something you are interested in, or even have a passion for, you can probably create an income from it.
One way to do this is to create a blog and start putting massive amounts of content in it. Do not fill it up with private label rights articles, but rather write your own content. Take the time to put unique thoughts down in your blog.
This is also the time to start making your blog lively with videos pictures, graphics, and things to make it seem like an interesting blog. You do not even need to worry about how you are making money exactly at this point.
Targeting a market where people are shopping and getting high traffic is a good long term strategy. Then sell advertising to businesses and corporations on it.
This is going to be a major income stream for quality blogs in the future. As television, radio, and newspaper advertising continue to be expensive businesses will be looking for alternative ways to reach their target audience.
This is an excellent chance for you to make money selling advertising on it in the future and to have fun with your blog. You certainly can monetize it right now with affiliate programs such as Google Adsense, or ClickBank digital information products as well if you like.
The key here is to start a blog in a niche that you have an interest in. Then add massive amounts of internetsting unique content, and find ways to make money with it.

Niche Marketing Tips
Filed Under Internet | Leave a Comment
Two niche marketing tips in particular will help you beyond measure. Choosing specific keyword phrases and probing deep into your niche will help maximize your results. Each of these tactics can provide better results than you would receive otherwise.
First of all let’s look at the advantages of specific keyword phrases. When someone types in a longer phrase, they are looking for very specific information. General phrases are much more hotly contested on the internet. The more specific you get, the less competition you will have for traffic. While there may be less visitors overall, you may get more visitors than if you went after a broad term.
The way to find good specific keyword phrases is by doing research. Keyword research is vital to any internet marketer. There are many keyword tools available online. If you want to succeed it is critical that you learn to use one of them. These types of tools can help you discover words that are related to your niche. Many times, they are phrases that you haven’t really thought of otherwise. Besides coming up with new phrases, you’ll also find out which ones are worth your time. You can find out the search demand and supply for each keyword. This will let you know how many people you’re competing with. It will also let you know how many people are searching for the information. This one step alone could save you weeks of frustration. There’s nothing worse than doing hours of work marketing a product, only to find out that no one wants or needs it.
The second of our niche marketing tips is going deep inside the niche. While you may think you’re in a niche, it may actually be a large canyon. You can always go down deeper into the niche you’re in with sub-niches. Once you’ve mastered one area, you can drill down deeper and completely master the many sub-niches in your area of expertise. There is always someone out there looking for the most obscure things. If you’re the first one to provide it for them, you will profit greatly.
While you may not get as much traffic from these sub-niches, the quality of the traffic is generally better. People that are typing in a very specific keyword phrase into a search engine are usually looking for a specific solution. If you can provide it, they’ll buy from you. So don’t get discouraged if you only get a few hits on these keywords. You will probably have a higher conversion rate on those hits. Therefore each hit becomes worth more.
With these niche marketing tips, you should be better equipped to go out there and tackle the internet ‘ one niche at a time.

Niche Marketing on Steroids
Filed Under Internet | Leave a Comment
Niche marketing means finding things out of the mainstream to sell.
The term’ niche marketing’ can mean different things to different people but generally it means the developing of websites in sub mainstream market segments to profit from selling products, generating advertising revenue or other forms of website monetization. Another term could be Micro-trend Marketing.
Niche marketing allows you to operate in less competitive markets, thus giving you greater opportunities and potential to succeed with less cost and effort.
Niche marketing can be particularly good for people new to Internet marketing and niche marketing can be the key to riches because it allows you to compete on a level playing field. You don’t have to compete with thousands of heavyweight competitors and you can use the experience to develop your skills in the junior divisions before moving into the big leagues.
If you pick the right niche you can build your site, establish yourself as an expert, sell your own products, recommend other people’s products - the opportunities can be endless and good money can certainly be made.
Niche marketing is becoming increasing popular. So much so that markets that were once called niches are almost as hard to break into and make profits as many mainstream markets.
The markets that spring to mind are ones like acne, dog training, or anxiety. Markets like these, while they can still be profitable, will not make the average web marketer a lot of money at all. Even the more nichey versions, acne treatments, dog training videos or anxiety relief are often difficult for most people to compete in and make money from.
It is possible to go to the opposite extreme. You can go to such tiny niches that they get almost no search volume. Yes, you can find “long-tail” keywords for specific markets, such as ‘pug training in Atlanta’ or “acne treatments that work in 2 days” but they will be too specific to make much money. etc, but the problem with these are a) that they often don’t get enough traffic and b) they are so specific that even if you can drive traffic, there isn’t much you can do to serve those people except show them ads. Again this can be profitable if you know how to do it but, as I’m sure you are already thinking, there just has to be an easier way - and there is!
Finding the perfect balance between competition and search volumn is the way to make the most money from niche marketing. Not only that but they know how to analyze the nature of a niche market to determine how much potential it really has before they enter it.
By doing this they find markets that can make them big money very quickly, faster than most people think possible. Then when they do find the markets they will also know how to make sites that will capitalize on them as effectively and efficiently as soon as possible. The result? Make big profits quickly, and without too much cost or effort.
There is no doubt that niche marketing, though often a tricky game, can be wildly profitable when done right. It’s just a question of knowing where to look!

Revealed! the 3 Top Mistakes You’re Making in Niche Marketing
Filed Under Internet | Leave a Comment
Nowadays it seems like everyone and their brother claims that they are a niche marketer and it’s so obvious to see that they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Niche marketing is not about marketing popular items to the general public. That’s what the big corporations do and if you’re operating from a small bedroom office in the corner of your house, guess what? You’re not a big corporation and I’m going to give you a few reasons why you suck at niche marketing.
Reason #1 - You don’t even know what niche marketing means. That’s okay because I’m going to explain it to you so you will finally know. Niche marketing is this: finding a small profitable corner of a larger area of a market. So if you’re selling golf products, you’re not niche marketing if you’re selling golf clubs. You’re niche marketing if you’re selling golf gloves and not just golf gloves themselves, but certain types of golf gloves that people want to buy on a regular basis. It could be a certain color golf glove, it could be a certain size golf glove, or it could even be a certain brand of golf glove that people want to buy on a regular basis.
Reason #2 - You have no idea what questions are being asked in your niche. For some unknown reason you don’t read any blogs pertaining to your market and you don’t participate in any forums or online groups pertaining to your market either. To be able to effectively market to your niche, you have to go to where they are and find out what they are talking about. This includes finding out what questions they were asking and trying to offer them answers to their problems. I know, I know. It sounds too simple to be right, doesn’t it?
Reason #3 - You’re all flash and no substance. What this basically means is that you’re too obvious about making a buck that you offer your market no real value. They can see you coming with your sales pitch from a mile away and start running like crazy to get away from you and I would too. You’ll find your niche marketing efforts to be one hundred times more effective when you offer your market valuable information that addresses and even solves their problems then just sales pitch after sales pitch. To do anything else just drives them away from you, leaving your pockets empty.
I have no doubt in my mind that you feel that you can really offer your niche something of value, but if you’re doing any of the things I mentioned above, all you’re doing is just hurting yourself. Get back to knowing what your niche wants, providing them with solutions for their problems, and delivering quality content about their needs and you’ll start to soar to the top of your market it no time at all.

First of all, you don’t have to spend as much to get involved. In many ultra-competitive markets, the cost of entry is so expensive; you can’t afford to get involved. Many first time marketers are on a shoestring budget and one mistake could be fatal. Starting in a small market allows you time to grow without losing your life’s savings in the process.
For example, if you use some form of pay-per-click advertising, you’ll have to put up your own money. If you dive right into a market like weight loss or making money at home, the cost of the keywords will be outrageous. You’ll probably pay more than $1 each time someone clicks on your ad. If your product doesn’t sell, you can lose a thousand dollars pretty quickly. Then you run home with your tail tucked between your legs and tell every one of the horrors of the internet.
Another one of the advantages of niche marketing is the lower number of competitors. If you’re using search engine optimization to get traffic, it will be easier. You’ll rank higher in the search engines because there won’t be 11 million other websites with the same keywords as you. This will result in more free traffic and therefore more profit for you. Another one of the advantages of niche marketing is the ease of operating your own business. While any brick and mortar business usually has some form of inventory or overhead, you won’t. A new entrepreneur can make money by selling someone else’s product. This means that you don’t have to warehouse any products or pay any salaries. You can just perform your duties and make money. This is a win-win for the companies selling products and for the marketer.
Focusing on a small niche market is vital to your success as an internet marketer. Just make sure that the market isn’t too small. If you’re trying to market a new Bluetooth headset exclusively to members of a select tribe in the Gobi Desert, you probably won’t make very many sales. Make sure that the niche has enough traffic to get you some sales.

Link-building is one of the most important aspects of SEO but many business owners go about it the wrong way. Not all links are going to make a difference in your search engine rankings so blindly accumulating links will not be to your advantage. Of course the top search engines like Google tell us that the best links to have are natural links that you receive without taking any action on your own. While these natural backlinks are ideal, it’s not as easy as it sounds to get them.
Other Types of Quality Backlinks
There are many other ways to get killer backlinks besides naturally. Three factors you can use to measure the quality of backlinks are the source of the link, the motivation behind the link, and the link itself. When judging the source of a link, you have to look at the site’s page rank, how much quality content the site has, and if the site has a high number of quality backlinks itself. Killer backlinks come from popular websites that have high page rank and plenty of quality backlinks.
The motivation behind a backlink is judged by whether you had to manipulate someone or something in order to get the link or if the link was created based on pure intent. An example of a link made with pure intent is when someone makes a natural link to your site because they like your content and simply think you have a great site. A manipulative link on the other hand is a link you had to pay for or otherwise take some sort of action to get.
When judging the actual backlink itself, you have to look at how it is built. A link to your site that says click here is better than no link at all but it can’t be considered a high quality backlink. Ideally, backlinks should have anchor text containing your target keywords.
Tips for Accumulating Killer Backlinks
In a perfect world, hundreds of nice people with reputable websites would find your website and link to it simply because they think it rocks. Such natural links are harder to get than it sounds. The first step you can take towards attracting more of these natural links is by creating top-notch content that is interesting, informative, and useful to your site visitors.
Beyond natural links, there are a number of other types of backlinks that could be labeled killer backlinks. For example, you can share your content with a Creative Common License, allowing people to reproduce your articles, videos, and pictures, just so long as they link back to your site. On those terms, you can receive links anytime someone uses your content.
Creating what is known as linkbait is another way to receive tons of backlinks. Linkbait is interesting content that appeals to a large group of people. It could be a funny photoshopped picture, a catchy blog post about an evergreen topic in current events, and much more. Linkbait, also known as viral content, can attract tons of backlinks to your site in a short amount of time through social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, and Reddit.
Other types of content that are viral in nature include content that can be embedded into people’s blogs and sites such as widgets and videos. An incredibly useful widget that includes a link back to your site can not only bring you a ton of backlinks, it can also drive a substantial amount of traffic to your site.
Another way to gather quality backlinks is through submitting your site to reputable directories such as the Better Business Bureau, the Yahoo Directory, and the Librarian’s Internet Index. You can also drive traffic to your site and build killer backlinks when you contribute articles and blog posts to popular blogs and article directories on the web. And don’t forget about the power of online press releases to build killer links to your site.
Link-building is not an exact science but focusing on accumulating quality backlinks will certainly pay off with time. Make the creation of quality, informative content your top priority and you’re sure to gradually attract those awesome natural links. Utilize these other link-building methods as well to help you achieve your long-term SEO goals.

OR SHOULD IT?
No, it’s absolutely no good at all finding a product that you think will sell and then create a website to promote and sell it. FIND YOUR NICHE FIRST. That way you know you will already have a marketplace that is actively searching for what you have. Now that makes more sense doesn’t it?
Think about it. Afew years ago I developed an interest in amateur radio, (bear with me, this is relevant), so what did I do? Well first of all I went out and bought every magazine I could find relating to amateur radio. In those magazines were advertisements for plans, components, radio clubs, allsorts in fact to do with amateur radio. Of course I bought loads of stuff. I was keen, enthusiastic and I was a dream to sell to in that niche. I had a need, and the amateur radio niche fulfilled it.
That was in the days before internet marketing was even thought of, but current technology makes it very easy for us to exploit niches. There are literally thousands of niches out there. You need a niche that is sufficiently large to give you a ready supply of needy customers, but not so large that there are hundreds of companies out there already giving them what they want. Of course by definition, that would no longer be a niche market. Competition is beneficial, but only in small doses.
There are niches for almost anything you can think of, collectors of watch straps, old dental equipment, and yes, amateur radio. In internet marketing we can think of a subject. Preferably, at first, something you yourself are interested in, and have some knowledge of, lets say belt-buckles. You go to www.freekeywords.com and use the free online keyword tool to enter belt-buckles. OK I’ll save you the time. I just did that and find that just over 2500 searches were made yesterday for that term, this is broken down furthur into sub categories such as confederate belt buckles. Anyway 2500 searches is about right, you don’t want more than about 4000 daily and not really less than 1000, These are people who are actively searching for either information or the actual item.
It can’t be too hard to do a bit of research and put together an e-book all about collecting belt buckles, or a series of articles that could be sold as a newsletter. Or even if you wish find suppliers of belt buckles and sell the actual thing itself. Not too large and heavy to post and thousands of different ones. Then you put your site together and promote that (the subject of another article) and wait for your niche market to come to you.
Your customers are out there, and actively looking for what you can supply them with. Now isn’t that a better way to do things. Do you need niche marketing? You betcha!

Without a doubt getting high quality backlinks to your site is the backbone to search engine optimization. If you want to rank well in Google or any search engine you need quality websites linking to your website.
It tells the search engines that your site must be good if so many other websites are pointing to your site. Many internet marketers are beginning to understand that there is one type of link that is far better than any other type of backlink.
What type of backlinks you ask? Education backlinks better known as .edu backlinks.
Why do the search engines regard edu backlinks as the best on the internet? Great question. .edu backlinks are the most trusted links on the internet because they are from colleges and universities. In the mind of the search engine spiders an education website does not link to just any website, they only link to websites that really have something to offer.
There is a big problem with most education backlinks though. Most education websites now use the nofollow tag with any external link that goes away from their site. They know that there are people out there that will try and exploit their websites because they know that the links they provide to websites are the most powerful for the obvious reasons discussed above.
The nofollow tag basically tells the search engines not to count the backlink on the education website because they might be trying to exploit the education website. Now because of the nofollow tag that is used for most .edu backlinks most marketers don’t even bother with trying to get them anymore.
Believe it or not there are many edu websites that can give .edu backlinks to a website that do not use the nofollow tag, these are the websites that internet marketers can still use to gain some very big love the Google and the other search engines.
There are actually people on the internet that work with education websites that will help you get dofollow edu backlinks but it typically costs money for these backlinks. However it should be realized that the cost is normally worth it if used with a solid backliking strategy.
If you ever get the chance to get a dofollow edu backlink from an education website jump on it if you can afford it. It could make all the difference to your search engine optimization efforts.

Many people wonder how they can work from home and make money on the Internet. The easy two word answer is niche marketing. Niche marketing involves focusing on a group of people or a specific niche market. While this isn’t a new concept, it certainly is underused by new businesses, especially in the Internet market.
Those who participate in niche marketing are known as niche marketers. Simply put, niche marketers define a need and then supply a demand. Though niche marketing is one of the simplest business concepts around, it is, more importantly, one of the most profitable.
If you are interested in beginning your own business and making money on the Internet, but have no interest in competing with long established Internet gurus, you need to check into the concept of niche marketing. By becoming one of the many niche marketers who are already on the Internet, you can carve out a market for yourself and begin making money quickly.
If you’re still a little confused about the concept of niche marketing and niche marketers, the list below offers a few examples of exactly what a niche market is.
Animal shaped kitchen utensils
Products pampering new moms
Informational sites geared towards babysitting toddlers
Informational sites geared towards training German shepherds
The list could go on and on, but you get the idea. A niche market caters to a very specific group of people who have very specific needs. Your best bet will be to train your energies on something that is familiar to you or something that you are interested in. This will help you to produce a quality website and a quality marketplace for your customers.
Keep in mind, that informational or how-to sites are very profitable and popular. Even if you will have a simple marketplace, you may want to include articles and other textual items of interest on your site for your customers. Many niche marketers have employed this concept to much success.
And, you also don’t want to be afraid to make your niche markets as narrow as possible. You can always expand later on. That’s the beauty of niche marketing. For example, if you want to build a business based on martial arts, start small and focus on one particular area, such as Ju Jitsu for women. This will ensure that you have less competition as you get your new business rolling.
Remember, start small. The first products on your site may be ebooks dedicated to the subject of Ju Jitsu for women. Later, you can begin adding Ju Jitsu accessories and products, more ebooks, and possibly even video classes. It’s not about making millions; it’s about making that first dollar. After that, you can always expand and grow from there.
Making money online is easy if you target the right group of people and present the right product. That’s what niche marketing is all about. Join the many niche marketers who have made a go of it and create your own niche market today.

ld seem that the internet was way ahead of it’s time in more than just one or two ways! It’s provided very lucrative ways to build and sustain wealth and very exceptional lifestyles. If you know how to find a niche market and learn how to use it to build wealth then the lifestyle possibilities are endless. First of all for those who don’t know what a nich market is, it’s the subset of the market on which a specific product is focusing on. Finding niches is so easy. There are thousands of them just waiting for someone to explore.
Whether you are new to internet marketing or advanced learning the correct way to find a niche market and turn it into cash is all a matter of understanding them. there are only two components to a market and those are the specific product and the specific group of people who are searching for the product better known as the audience. Understanding audiences is key to building a successful income in niche marketing. The best way to grasp who your audience is is by lots of extensive research. Research is vital. Without doing proper research not only will you not know how to build the right campaign but you’ll quite possibly target the wrong audience as well.
The content, whether pictures or text, depends deeply on the results of the research that you will need to conduct for every niche. Targeting, knowing what people want or need will require a unique approach to each market audience. Research involves studying consumer habits online, including the reasons why they buy, when they buy, and where they buy… Proper research, if done correctly, takes hundreds of man hours and is foremost the single most area where all of the important factors that make a niche a money maker comes from. Simply put, research is the foundation that ANY successful campaign originates from. It’s where all the facts are gathered, the facts that shape your content that will be used on your web pages.
One of the very first things that should be determined is whether or not the niche is worth while pursuing. The absolute worst thing for any internet marketer to do is to waste valuable time building a niche market that isn’t going to be profitable for them. Not only are you going to waste valuable time but you are going to waste money as well. So how do you find a niche market that is going to be profitable. Put simply find things that people are already interested in buying!! Never start a niche on a whim. Use FACTS! Search for niches or products that are already sought after. Go to search engines and find out what the most popular searches for this month were for, go to places like amazon.com and do a search for the most popular product, take note of hot trends in the news papers and on T.V. etc.
The big key is to just find things that are popular and hot…things people are already hungry for and kind of overzealous ( really enthusiastic) about buying. Then do some research and find out why the product is so popular? Why do they want it? What do they like about it? Who are they? What should your approach be like? What emotions trigger that desire or need?
One other great rule of thumb to help get pointed in the right direction when trying to find a niche market is that most times than not a sure fire product will be one where people are either trying to avoid pain or gain pleasure. Did any bells go off?

I get dumbfounded. Another dozen “Sizzling Niche PLR Package” type offers float into my inbox. I suspect the niche markets they’re in aren’t quite all they’re made out to be. I do my usual check - crunching the numbers in overture, looking at the big ticket affiliate programs on offer and browsing over typical Overture/Adsense contextual payouts.
I shake my head in dismay. Click. Get into my trash where you belong.
The thing is I’ve been an internet business entrepreneur for years. I know how to separate the chaff from the wheat. Most newbies don’t and that’s worrying. That’s the point of this article - I want to share with you *exactly* how to analyse any and every niche market so that you can do your own research and never be tricked by another niche package that’s been developed by some greedy fly-by-night merchant that’s just cashing in on the PLR craze.
If you’re about to set-up a niche online business, for the first time or not, you must research the following very thoroughly before whipping out your credit card and buying the first niche package with private label rights that comes your way.
Here are some of the broad techniques that I use to analyse any potential niche that I’m considering entry into. If at least four of the five aren’t right, I’ll walk and move on to the next niche on my list.
(1) It All Starts With The Back-End & Existing Income Generating Opportunities - Do They Exist?
I’ve seen it all. Niche packages on internet marketing, pet grooming, how to make your own candles… the list goes on. With any potential niche you MUST start with the back-end opportunities that are available to you. By this I mean the additional income generation methods once you make the first eBook sale or after you get your prospect to the website. You’re not going to get rich on $29 book sales so you need to find some additional items that would interest your prospects. Here are some things you must look out for:
- Are There Big Ticket Products? Even if you convert a standard 1% of a $1,000 product (paying half of the sale value in commissions), you’re going to earn $500 from every 100 visitors to your site. Believe me, in some niche markets there are just no big ticket items (either because the niche isn’t big enough to support such a thing or the site infrastructure is not available as the niche operates largely in the old offline world).
- Multitude of products: I like niches that offer a multitude of different products. CD’s eBooks, DVDs, seminars, courses, software, membership sites. It means that there are lots of unique products to offer your prospects. In some niche markets there may be only one or two established packages for potential customers… they’ve seen it all before, may already have it and your chances of making that back end sale gets much tougher.
(2) Show Me The Numbers - OVERTURE!
There’s a debate with some online celebrities as to whether “numbers” matter - by that I mean the number of prospects in any given niche. I don’t want to perch on the fence. While I do think it’s possible to operate profitably in some smaller niche markets, I much prefer BIG ones. Niche industries that have a pool of prospects that number in the millions or even the billions. There’s just a certain comfort knowing that your niche enjoys that sort of demand and it increases your ability to create sub-products, put a spin on your products to target sub-niches and so on. That’s why I love niche markets such as investment & finance, real estate and travel - the numbers alone mean you have a fair chance of success.
(3) Cash Rich Prospects - Don’t Try To Sell A Porsche To A Beggar.
I don’t wish to sound insensitive with this but I’m here to try and help you make money - not win an award for humanitarian of the year. The simple fact is that if you want to make money, you need to sell to people who have money. That’s just basic common sense but you’d be surprised at the number of people who do not even consider this factor before jumping into a niche that has limited cash backing. Now combine a market that has MILLIONS of cash rich prospects and now you’re in a prosperous niche. People in such niches usually pay good money, often without too much thought. For example in the stock market and real estate niche market it’s common to spend $5,000 to attend a seminar and some real estate investors will splash out $300+ on the fly just to view a property that’s abroad (very common in the UK where cash rich investors jet off to Spain/Bulgaria/Portugal etc to inspect a potential buy). This is the sort of prospect you want to sell to.
(4) What Do Advertisers Pay To Advertise In Adsense/Overture? How Many Advertisers Are There?
I like contextual advertising - Google Adsense. Some people have been comically predicting the death of Adsense. Check Googles stock price and you’ll find that these people probably have IQ issues. See, in *their niche* (probably internet marketing) Adsense incomes may be on a short term downtrend so of course some set off into a magnificent panic while others sell hyped up reports to exploit the situation. Actually, Adsense in the internet marketing field isn’t all that great - the payouts to publishers can be low (though not always - I’ve had mixed results myself). In other markets it’s brilliant. In real estate returns of $5+ per click are not uncommon. In the investment niche it can be $8+. In these niches Adsense becomes your best friend - it also has an overwhelming ad stock inventory for popular niches and the ads are highly targeted - for example one of my niche sites reviews the Maldives as a luxury holiday destination including a page on each specific resort (eg Hilton). Thanks to Google Adsense, when a visitor comes to the Hilton review they are offered an ad that takes them to the Hilton resort (similar on many other resorts too). This is great for the advertiser, great for the publisher (me) and very convenient for the visitor. Everyone wins.
I divert somewhat - when you analyse a niche the point is that you should not only check that the bid values are high, but also that there are a fairly high number of advertisers (more competition means bigger bids means bigger commissions). In some small or unfancied niches there just aren’t enough advertisers. Why? Because the prospect base is either very small, has no money (or both).
(5) Pay Per Lead? We Love It…
I believe we’re going to see a lot more about Pay Per Leads in the near future. This is when you get paid for a particular action made by your visitor to the advertiser. Typically it means they fill out a short form, or download an eBook, or set up a free membership - the visitor doesn’t have to buy anything. Pay per lead can be very lucrative, particularly in industries such as real estate and foreclosures. I’ve seen some of these niches offering $5 to $20 per lead that you send them. Why? Because just one lead that goes on to buy a property or use their services can bring in several thousands or even hundreds of thousands for them in income. What’s $20 to get in that type of business?
Another big plus point about pay per lead is that once you know how to wield your own content with it the response rate can be explosive. For instance it’s quite easy to write an article on making money through foreclosures, and then prompting your prospects to take action by downloading a free eBook on foreclosures (for which you get paid $5 per download).
The above is the same basic blueprint I use to investigate my niches and I really urge you to do the same. Next time you see one of those junk PLR products trying to get you to pay money for content that has no potential or future you’ll be able to pick it out and trash it yourself.
Happy niche hunting!
